The reproduction of ancient and frail precious manuscripts, far from threatening the undisputable authority of the original source, actually perpetuates and increases its relevance and diffusion. It is a way of thoroughly reporting the history of a document, its original ritual and contextual links which could otherwise be dispersed by the passage of time and man’s action.
